Barnes&Noble Customer Reviews:
A very good read "The book is loaded with sub-plots good enough to create separate books, the indigo children story is one, the super-virus time travellor is another full book and also the New Manhattan final battle. Overrall I rate the book fascinating and intoxicating. A very good read. April 28, 2009"
Great book When earth is control by a few elites using genetically engineeres creatures as well as a group of bloodthirsty, half-angelic beings called the Anakim. Who survives the carnage? Anyone who enjoys action/adventure books or science fiction novels will enjoy this book!
Excellent book I really enjoyed reading this book. It's full of surprises. Just when you think it's time to turn swords to plowshares, a new bloody battle is born making the movie 300 look like childplay. I recommend this book to anyone looking for both raw action and a meaningful read.
Amazing It's definitely one of the best books I have ever read. It kind of combines science fiction, alternative history, mythology, new age heresy, social criticism, conspiracies, and hard action. 04-10-2009

Keys of Destiny Reviewed byKam Aures for RebeccasReads (6/08)
“Keys of Destiny” begins in New York City with Richard Mingler, who is a member of a secret society called the Illuminati Order of Kingu, standing by the remnants of the giant Sphere by the collapsed World Trade Center. He then proceeds to carry out his given task of pouring a vial of blood onto the cement and plunging a dagger into the ground. After a few seconds the ground begins to open up and a monster-like creature, Zamarial, a Nephilim Beast, emerges from the hole and inquires whether or not Richard has the keys. Richard replies that he does not have them yet and the beast rips out Richard’s heart with a single swipe. “From that moment on, Zamarial wreaked havoc around the planet, relentlessly killing and causing disasters.” ( p.4)
Dr. Kazra Moore is a professor at City College in New York City who is plagued by the number eleven. He always seems to look at the clock just as it reads 11:11, and if you break down all of the relevant numbers in his life, including his birth date, social security number and phone numbers and add the sums you will end up with eleven. Moore also has an extreme interest in the year 2012, which he regards as the “apocalypse, the end of everything.” (p.9)
One morning, one of his students calls him at 11:11 and suggests that he and the professor take a trip down to see his uncle who is deeply interested in the same type of “mystical stuff” that Kazra is. They travel down to a Creek Indian Neighborhood in Georgia where Kazra is introduced to Elder Yuccah and is let in on some of the secrets that he holds. In the process, Kazra finds out that his birthmark is in actuality a perfect replica of the stone tablets that are being held by Elder Yuccah’s family. This mark apparently brands him as the person who needs to travel the world in search of the Keys of Destiny that will save the world from impending doom. The rest of the book chronicles his dangerous adventures traveling from continent to continent in an attempt to save the world
Adin Kachisi’s writing is very creative and fast-paced. He definitely possesses an immense amount of knowledge of history and the topics of which he writes, giving his writing a unique edge over other novels in the same genre. Combining fact with a very active imagination allows him to provide us with a novel that is very interesting and intriguing. Not only was I taken on a great adventure by reading this book, I also felt I learned a great deal. I think that anyone who enjoys action/adventure books or science fiction novels will enjoy this book!

Fiction/Action Adventure/ Science Fiction ; Keys of Destiny - Adin Kachisi iUniverse , 2008 , Soft cover , 264 pages
Dr. Kazra Moore is an African American professor based in New York City who is plagued by the number eleven and obsessed with the year 2012—the year of the apocalypse as prophesied by the Mayan civilization. In the Keys of Destiny, author Adin Kachisi sends the highly inquisitive professor on a journey around the world in search of the lost crystal keys required to perform a cleansing ceremony called the Purification. Without the keys and the successful execution of the ceremony, the Earth and mankind will be lost. Much is learned during the professor’s travels and his life is frequently placed in harm’s way, but it is all for the world’s survival.
At ground zero in New York, a member of the Illuminati Order of Kingu, a secret cult society, releases an otherworldly beast from a portal accessed through the remains of "The Sphere" sculpture that was once centrally located at the site of The World Trade Center. The beast is Zamarial. He is on the hunt for the keys of destiny. After a discussion with one of his favorite students, Rick, Kazra leaves his wife in New York and travels to Cartersville, Georgia to meet Rick’s Uncle Yuccah, a mystic man from the Creek Indian tribe. There Kazra learns more about the Mayan prophecies and the Purification ceremony that will save the world from itself. Kazra is informed of the crystal keys that are necessary to complete the Purification. The professor’s role in the hunt for the three missing keys was predicted. It is Kazra’s destiny to take this journey.
After a short return to New York to explain his mission to his wife and with little information to start with, Kazra travels to Ireland, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, and Korea where he meets many learned scholars of ancient and mystical history who guide him to the key keepers of each crystal. The professor is also faced with dangerous nightmares and continuous attacks on his life in his waking hours.
Kachisi is the author of three previous books (Beyond the Tenth, Tears of Ether, and Depth of Melancholy) and a native of Zimbabwe. The extensive research Kachisi conducted is evident in the discussions about religion, history, and architectural contributions that Kazra has with several of the people he encounters on this expedition. Often the relaying of facts is a bit daunting. In some scenes, the author appears to be overly enthusiastic about sharing every morsel of information he has acquired. But in other parts of the story, when paired with broader concepts of race and class, power and conquest, the material allows the reader a clearer understanding of the purpose of the professor’s mission.
In addition to imparting a great deal of history, the plot infuses lessons about the behavior of humans in relation to the destruction of the world as it is currently known: "Prophesy is not written in stone, but on sand. It’s a warning of what will happen if people do not change."
"Keys of Destiny is a well written, fast moving story that will entice the reader hungry for intricate details of ancient history, shocking adventure, and broadly imaginative ideas of the future. This is a must read for science fiction connoisseurs.

Book Review: by Joey Pinkney
When a novel has a bibliography, you know you are about to embark on a journey that aims to separate fact from fiction!
Keys of Destiny is Adin Kachisi’s fourth novel. He delves deep the ancient cultures of the world, showing how they connect present-day societies and current events. From beginning to end, Keys of Destiny pushes the reader to a broader understanding of the world, both geographically and spiritually.
Keys of Destiny is able to keep your attention regardless of your level of knowledge of world history. If you are totally unfamiliar with ancient history, conspiracy theories and secret societies, you will stand to learn a lot about how different religions and groups of people from various time periods are connected. If you are well-versed in historical studies, Key of Destiny is a refreshing utilization of nonfiction in a fictitious setting.
The main character, Kazra Moore, is a professor at City College in New York City. He is educated and trained in Western philosophies. He is overwhelmed by his spiritual awareness of the shift that slowly takes place around him. Things like this preoccupation with the number 11 and the Mayan apocalyptic theory involving the year 2012 seems to be related but Kazra can not figure out why. Things begin to unfold when he gets a phone call from Rick, his favorite student. Rick’s uncle is a Creek Elder and wants to meet Kazra.
That meeting with Uncle Yuccah in Carterville, GA, proves to be much more than Kazra could have imagined. The sacred crystals, known as the Keys of Destiny, are scattered around the globe and must be gathered and brought back to the Creek Elder Yuccah to initiate an aspect the Purification ceremony which will eliminate the negative energy stuck on the Earth’s physical plane. Otherwise, two-thirds of humanity will perish in the Earth’s natural cleansing process. This is the same purification previously prophesied by many ancient cultures and currently seen manifested in the natural and man-made disasters around the world.
Yuccah already possesses one of the keys. It’s Kazra’s spiral-shaped birthmark reveals him to be the person who has the task of gathering the three remaining keys. Kazra must use his spiritual awareness and deductive reasoning to figure out where in the world to go - literally. Kazra travels from the United States to Ireland to Ethiopia to Zimbabwe to Korea. He is lead to each location by by his intuition and connects with religious and historical scholars at each location who are able to connect him with the keys he needs. Each location is beautiful but equally dangerous since Kazra is followed by the Illuminati Order of Kingu, an evil cult in search of the same Keys.
Great dialog and attention to detail makes this novel easy to read and hard to put down. Although many of the conversations are intellectual in nature, Adin Kachisi allows the characters to give you the facts in easy-to-digest, bite-sized chunks. He has also mastered the use of imagery that is so vivid, you can mentally visualize the natural settings, peoples and languages. You can also picture the super-natural beings, both good and evil. These characters are sprinkled throughout the story and easily transform Keys of Destiny from National Geographic to X Files and back again.

The end is near - Reviewed by Alice Holman of The RAWSISTAZ(tm) Reviewers
KEYS OF DESTINY by Adin Kashisi is a fascinating novel about the end of the world. Professor Kazra Moore, along with a student, Rick, a Native American, talk with Rick's Uncle Yuccah, who gives him information on the end of the world and what must be done to prevent it. The uncle has a crystal key, but there are three missing. The earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes and other natural disasters that are plaguing the earth must be stopped and there is only one way to do it: Kazra must find the other three keys. Kazra sets off on a journey that will take him to Europe, Africa and Asia in search of these keys. He is followed and threatened by demons, monsters and others who also want the keys, but not for the same reasons Kazra does. They are interested in destruction of the earth so they plague his dreams and even his physical being. Kazra first goes to Ireland, where he hopes to find the first key. He is met by those who also want the keys and he learns he must always be on guard. During his travels he is faced with violent opposition. Will he be able to locate all three keys? And better yet, will he be able to get them safely back to Unlce Yuccah so the world's destruction will stop? Or is this truly the end of mankind?
The book is loaded with little known facts about ancient history, especially that of the African continent, which colors the entire story, whether it is Europe, Africa or Asia. It brings to the forefront history that has been whitewashed and made to fit today's history books. It is pointed out that greed was the cause. If the people who wanted to exploit Africa could pretend the people who lived there were not worthy of all that beautiful land and resources, it would be easier to push them aside into slavery or just plain kill them and take their land. It was a true eye-opener to ancient history of Egypt, as well as other countries. I would recommend this book to those interested in mystery, thrills, tension, suspense as well as history.

NEW YORK – At the core of Adin Kachisi’s riveting new novel, Rise of the Anakim:Tablets of Destiny (published by AuthorHouse), are one man’s travels across four continents in a desperate attempt to save the planet from apocalyptic extinction by both the acts of man and the vengeful hands of nature.
In a post-9/11 world, Rise of the Anakim:Tablets of Destiny opens with a devastating mistake made by one man, Richard Mingler, a member of the ancient secret society of the Order of Kingu who chooses to unlock an inter-dimensional portal on the very grounds of the World Trade Center that had once kept Zamariel, a monstrous angelic being from entering this world. Zamariel has been brought for one reason only: to find a set of lost ancient keys.
It is the year 2009, and the planet is experiencing global catastrophes ranging from earthquakes, volcanoes, floods and a social unrest that threatens to topple any illusion of order. It is in this atmosphere that Ethan Moore, a college professor in Harlem, travels with one of his favorite students, Rick, to Georgia in order to visit Rick’s Native American uncle. Upon meeting Rick’s uncle, he is also introduced to other Creek Native American elders who reveal the ancient prophecies of a purification of humanity as they enter a new age. Feeling a fated connection with his visit, the elders take Ethan to a secret cave where they unveil ancient stone tablets with prophetic inscriptions on them, commissioning Ethan to find the three missing crystal keys hidden around the globe in order to save the planet from destruction.
Led by instinct alone, Ethan’s mission takes him first to Ireland and then Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and finally Korea in a mesmerizing quest which forces him to confront enormous challenges and inexplicable mysteries that test his faith, his beliefs, his academic knowledge and his very idea of reality. While traveling through these foreign lands, he must elude dark, criminal assassins working for the Order of Kingu and other ancient cults determined to bring about the apocalyptic extinction of humanity.
Having been transformed in his consciousness and successful in his quest, Ethan returns home and joins the ceremony to unlock the planet’s regenerating energy potential with the crystal keys. At the dawn of new life for the planet, Ethan must face one final battle with Zamariel. Will Ethan be able to save the human race from destruction? Will humanity appreciate the gift they have been given or will a new, more corrupted system emerge?

Created to provoke, inspire and educate its readers as it explores the past, present and future possibilities for humanity, Rise of the Anakim:Tablets of Destiny is full of information about ancient history, folklore, contemporary issues, metaphysics and different cultures worldwide.
